Achieve a full-bodied, immersive coffee experience with the classic French press method.
Ingredients
- 30g coarse ground coffee
- 500g filtered water (just off boil, around 200°F/93°C)
- French press
- Scale
- Timer
Instructions
- Preheat French press with hot water. Discard water.
- Add coffee grounds to the press.
- Start timer. Pour all water, ensuring grounds are saturated. Give a gentle stir if needed.
- Place lid on top, plunger up. Steep for 4 minutes.
- Slowly and steadily press the plunger down.
- Serve immediately to prevent over-extraction. Savor the richness.
