- 30g of coffee beans
- 500g of filtered water
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat and Prepare - Preheat your French press and mugs with hot water. Let boiled water cool for 45-60 seconds to reach ~205°F (96°C).
- Step 2: Grind Your Coffee - Grind 30g of coffee to a medium-coarse consistency, like rough sand.
- Step 3: Add Water and Start the Brew - Add coffee to the press, pour 500g of hot water, and let it steep for 4 minutes with the plunger on top but not pressed.
- Step 4: Break the Crust - After 4 minutes, gently stir the top crust of grounds and scoop off any foam.
- Step 5: Let the Sediment Settle - Wait for another 5-8 minutes to allow fine particles to settle.
- Step 6: Plunge and Pour - Press the plunger just below the surface and pour slowly, leaving the last half-inch of liquid behind.
