Ingredients
- 4 cups of water
- 1/2 cup of piloncillo (or dark brown sugar)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup of coarsely ground dark roast coffee
Instructions
- Step 1: Simmer Spices - In a saucepan, combine water, piloncillo, and the cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the piloncillo is dissolved.
- Step 2: Add Coffee - Reduce heat to low, add the coffee grounds, stir, and cover. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Step 3: Strain and Serve - Carefully strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into mugs and enjoy.
